PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy

What it is
PRP uses your body’s own natural growth factors to repair and rejuvenate. A small blood sample is processed to extract plasma rich in platelets, which is then reintroduced into the skin via the Code X™ microneedling device or fine injections.

Treatment time: Around 75 minutes (including blood draw and preparation).

Skin concerns it treats

  • Crepey or thinning skin

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Loss of firmness and elasticity

  • Uneven texture

  • Dark under-eye circles

  • Early signs of ageing

How many treatments
A series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is ideal, with maintenance every 6–12 months.

How to prepare

  • Stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.

  • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, and anti-inflammatories for 24–48 hours before (unless prescribed).

  • Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup and SPF.

Downtime
After PRP, expect mild redness, swelling, or pinpoint bruising for 1–3 days. The under-eye area may stay puffy a little longer. Most people resume daily activities quickly, though makeup is best avoided for 24 hours. Skin glow and texture improvements develop gradually over the following weeks.

Who are these treatments for?
These skin treatments are suited to those who:

  • Want to boost skin glow, hydration, and overall quality

  • Prefer natural results that work with the body’s repair mechanisms

  • Would like to soften fine lines and improve elasticity

  • Have noticed dullness, uneven texture, or loss of firmness

  • Wish to support long-term skin health with science-led treatments

They are progressive treatments that work best as part of a treatment plan—not a quick fix.

Results & Maintenance
PRP work by stimulating your skin’s natural healing and regeneration. Because of this, results develop gradually:

  • PRP – improvements in texture and tone build over several weeks, with full benefits usually visible after completing a course of treatments.

For best results, we recommend completing the initial course of treatments and then scheduling maintenance every 6–12 months. These treatments can also be combined with other skin services for a tailored plan.
